A 2003 self-
My name is Keith Clarke and until my retirement a few years ago, I was a secondary school teacher in the North West of England.
In 2003, I decided to take some selfish “me-
I stayed in a good, modern hotel in Furore, which also contained a renowned restaurant. The weather wasn’t always kind and I was silly enough to pack mostly Mediterranean clothing, forgetting that Italy can be cold in the evenings in October and November and especially when your hotel is situated 700 feet up on a cliff face overlooking the sea! Add to this the fact that I was fighting off a chest infection when I left England and the stage was set for a disastrous week. In the event, I fell in love with the area and had an excellent week’s holiday and one that I will always remember with fondness.
While I was there, I took many photographs and kept a daily record of what I did and what I was thinking. 10 years later, I stumbled across this diary and decided that it would be interesting to put the words and photos together on a website. So here they are! I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for letting me share my holiday with you.
